For Such A Time as This

As we end one epoch and transition into another, I can't help but contemplate the events of this past year...as many of us do. The lessons we've learned, the good times and the bad. Despite it all I'm thankful for the opportunity to have made it thus far because the last two years have been filled with so much death and uncertainty. It is in times like these that Faith and Trust in God must supersede doubt and fear. For the majority of the year I have had Proverbs 3:5 written on my mirror: Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. With the emphasis on not depending on my own understanding I have grown to comprehend the idea that life as unpredictable and complicated as it is; continues to simultaneously posses a sense of order and predictability. A dualism that reflects the complex nature of life which manifests itself in different ways. James 2:17 states; So you see, faith by itself isn't enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless. The futility of life without Faith and Trust in God has taught me that I can't do this one my own. Whether it's loosing weight, making the right food decision, or any other decision for that matter I need and have to trust in God and have faith in the Process. For the longest time I hated that word...yes I said hate...the word process. By definition it means to a series of actions that you take in order to achieve a result (Oxford dictionary) but in reality it means so much more, it meant taking steps that I once was too afraid to take. It meant facing things I was trying to avoid, it meant feeling things I wanted to forget. The processes of life...the steps we take towards growth is never an easy one but a necessary one. So as I face 2023 I walk into the new year with the Motto: Doing it Afraid, Walking by Faith Not by Sight. ..

What is your motto? What is your main goal for 2023? Dr

Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. 2 Thessalonians 3:16

I once had a dream that I was walking in the snow but as I continued to walk my footprints would be covered by freshly fallen snow...
